Professor Victor Banjo, Executive Director of Executive Education at Lagos Business School, has urged Nigerians to change their perception of insurance, emphasizing its importance in safeguarding against financial losses. Speaking at the 2024 Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria’s Insurance Professional Forum in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Banjo shared a personal experience where insurance helped restore his family’s financial stability after a fire incident.

Banjo explained that his home caught fire due to a power surge that affected his inverter system. Thanks to the prompt intervention of SUNU Assurances, led by Managing Director Samuel Ogbodu, Banjo said his family received quick assistance, with inspection and equipment replacement completed within days, preventing significant hardship.
