Heirs Insurance Group (HIG) has announced the appointment of Ibrahim Puri and Sunny Iroche as Independent Non-Executive Directors of its non-life insurance business, Heirs General. These strategic appointments are set to enhance HIG’s governance and leadership as the company continues its rapid growth and innovation in Nigeria’s insurance sector.
Ibrahim Puri brings over 30 years of experience across banking, fintech, and FMCG industries. Previously a Group Executive Director at the United Bank for Africa, Puri also serves on the boards of RedTech and Nigeria Breweries. His extensive knowledge of the African financial landscape and market dynamics is expected to provide valuable insights and guidance to Heirs General.

Sunny Iroche, with a distinguished career spanning over four decades, is the Executive Chairman of Strategic Alliance Promotion Company. His experience includes leadership roles at the Transmission Company of Nigeria and United Capital Plc, as well as serving as a special advisor to the Board of Governors of the African Leadership Institute (AFLI). Iroche’s deep expertise in finance, investment promotion, and economic advisory will further bolster Heirs General’s strategic direction.
