The 25th Actuarial Science and Insurance Students’ Association (ASISA) of Lagos State University (LASU) celebrated the inaugural edition of Insurance Awareness Day with great enthusiasm.

In collaboration with the Department of Insurance, the association organized a walk around the institution to highlight the necessity and benefits of insurance across various aspects of life. The event was spearheaded by Dr. Sunday Ajemunigbohun, Head of the Insurance Department, and Sholaja Mohammed, President of ASISA.

“The program was organized by the 25th ASISA LASU Executives in conjunction with the Department of Insurance to emphasize the significance of insurance in numerous spheres of life,” explained Dr. Ajemunigbohun.

Veritas Kapital Assurance Limited led the sponsorship for the event, while additional financial support was provided by the National Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) and other insurance companies. Dr. Ajemunigbohun expressed gratitude for the contributions from Sterling Assurance Company Limited’s representatives.

The successful event marked a significant step towards increasing insurance awareness and understanding among students and the wider community.
