The Africa Insurance Women Association (AIWA) has announced its first-ever International Conference for Women in Insurance, scheduled to take place from November 2nd to 6th, 2024, at the Lagos Continental Hotel. The landmark event is set to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from around the world to discuss the future of the insurance industry, with a focus on the vital role of women in shaping its direction.

Themed “The Future of Insurance: Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities,” the conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, and cultural performances. Attendees will engage with top executives, government officials, and influential figures within the insurance sector, providing a unique platform for networking and knowledge-sharing.

Mrs. Margaret Nkechi Moore, President of AIWA, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “This conference marks a pivotal moment for the insurance industry in Africa. The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Mrs. Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, also emphasized the conference’s importance, saying, “The AIWA conference is not just a gathering; it’s a movement towards a more inclusive and forward-thinking insurance sector. Our goal is to foster discussions that will inspire actionable strategies, and I am honored to be part of an event that is poised to make a lasting impact on the industry.”

Key highlights of the event include the Opening Ceremony and Awareness/Health Walk on November 2nd, aimed at raising awareness about women’s health and wellness. The Gala Night on November 5th will celebrate industry trailblazers with cultural performances and networking opportunities.
