The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) is set to initiate the verification process for pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme of Federal Mortgage Finance Limited and the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria starting Monday, July 29, 2024.
In a recent statement, PTAD’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, announced that pensioners need not travel back to their retirement states for verification. Instead, they can visit any verification center within their current geo-political zone.

For pensioners who are sick or infirm, PTAD will provide mobile verification services. However, to arrange for mobile verification, pensioners must present their original documents along with proof of their condition at the verification venue.
Dr. Ejikeme also issued a warning about potential fraud. She emphasized that PTAD does not charge any fees for pension processing and that any request for payment should be considered fraudulent. Pensioners are encouraged to report suspicious communications to PTAD by emailing monitoring@ptad.gov.ng.
